Data Science Symposium 2025

The 10th Data Science Symposium (DSS) will take place on-site in Geesthacht, on 3 and 4 September 2025. This time it is organized by Hereon and the Helmholtz Coastal Data Center (HCDC).

Established in 2017, this is part of a joint series of symposia of AWI, GEOMAR and Hereon. It aims at building bridges between science methods, science applications, and infrastructure developments.

We invite you to join us for talks, lively discussions and live demos. As in previous years, we are calling for contributions.

Important Dates (preliminary)

Conference days: September 3rd, 12pm - September 4th, 12pm 2025

Registration and abstract submission opens in May 2025

Abstract submission deadline: first half of June 2025

Registration deadline: end of July 2025

For planning purposes: Registration office will open at 11.30am on September 3.

Meeting Venue

The meeting venue is on our Hereon Campus near the town Geesthacht in the lecture hall and event rooms in building 27. We are planning for a meeting in presence. More information about the Venue and the Meeting Rooms you find on the venue page.
